About

Shooting Space Lacrosse LLC was established by Old Dominion University’s  Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, Heather Holt,  in February 2012.  Shooting Space Lacrosse provides an opportunity for lacrosse players in Hampton Roads and throughout the region to take their game to the next level by participating in Summer Camps, Tournaments, Clinics and more.


ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF & COACHES

Heather Holthh

  • Named the Head Coach of the Old Dominion Women’s Lacrosse team in June 2012 after serving as
    the interim Head Coach during the 2011-2012 season.
  • Four year letter-winner in goal for the ODU Lady Monarchs.
  • Member of the 1995 Colonial Athletic Association Championship Team.
  • Ranks in top five ODU all-time in both save percentage and goals against average.
  • Native of Bryn Mawr, PA.
  • Resides in Norfolk with her husband David, and their three sons, Jackson, Parker and Reece.

Ashley Vellinesav

  • Named Assistant Coach for Old Dominion University Women’s Lacrosse team in August 2012.
  • 2007 Graduate of University of Richmond, as well as a four-year starting midfielder, posting a record of 46-17 and winning the Atlantic 10 Conference 3 times.
  • Racked up 108 draw controls and finished 5th all time in school history in goals with 151, 7th in assists with 42 and seventh in points with 193.
  • Native of Canandaigua, New York.
  • Earned Masters Degree in Sport Management from VCU in 2008.
  • Resides in Norfolk with her husband John and two sons Jack and Gibson.


Ashley Watersaw

  • Named Assistant Coach for Old Dominion University Women’s Lacrosse team in September 2011.
  • Waters, formerly Kellogg was a four year starter for the Lady Monarchs.
  • Ranks 8th in career points with 152 and fourth in goals with 128.
  • Two time All- Colonial Athletic Association Player.
  • Earned Masters Degree in Sports Management from ODU in 2011
  • Native of Downingtown, PA.
  • Resides in Norfolk with her husband Stephen.
